Most people fall into perfumery through passion. I came through precision. With a degree in Engineering, I was trained to solve problems methodically. To measure, test, and refine until something works exactly as it should. In early 2024, I brought that same discipline into the world of scent. Every note I choose, every concentration I measure, every formula I build is approached the way I would approach any engineering problem: with intention and zero guesswork.
That is what OMRY is built on.
But the reason behind it was never only technical. Where I come from, you never show up to someone's home empty-handed. My answer was almost always perfume. It was how I said the things that mattered most: I thought of you, I chose this for you. A fragrance was never just a gift. It was intention you could wear. That is the feeling I wanted to build a house around.
That is why I started OMRY. I felt something was missing, not just in the market, but in the story behind most fragrances. Most are mass-produced to please everyone, and end up belonging to no one. I wanted to build something precise, intentional, and deeply personal instead.
The name came naturally, from the Arabic word ʿomr, meaning age. OMRY translates to my life. And some scents still bring me back to cardamom and sweet tea shared with family. That warmth. That quiet sense of belonging. That is what I try to bottle, with every carefully crafted blend.
